Until the events of September 11, 2001, there was no real chapel in the Pentagon (there was a small "reflection room"). Post 9/11, a small (50-60 folks max), unpretentious, but elgantly appointed Memorial Chapel was built at the impact point of Flight 77. It is used for Catholic, Protestant, Jewish, and, yes, Muslim services. For men and women of good will, a place where freedom of worship for all creeds is allowed and respected....and a sign of contradiction to those who would wage soft or hard "jihad" against infidels or believers in peace.
May God bless all the men and women in the Armed Forces and Law Enforcement communities of law-abiding nations protecting us from radical terrorism.
