Presbyterian College - "Come, Ye Thankful People, Come"
The music department of Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina, performs "Come, Ye Thankful People, Come" at the annual Christmas concert in 2008.
Daniel, that is beautiful. Thank you. My family celebrates the Harvest on the traditional English date of the first weekend of October. About 30 of us gathered round the table at my home and my cousin, a fine organist and pianist, led in the playing and singing of this great hymn. We were not as in tune as that lovely choir but it was all heartfelt. We thank the Lord for all the good gifts around us. In Canada, national Thanksgiving is the weekend following. Isn't it wonderful that we live in a culture that acknowledges the bounty that we receive?
