From Catholic World NewsChai Ling, the only woman leader of the1989 Tiannamen Square protests, was baptized on April 4. She said that her conversion was prompted by a loss of confidence in political solutions and anguish over the violence in today's China-- especially the violence of forced abortion, which she characterized as "a daily Tiananmen massacre, a hundred times over and done in broad daylight."
