The New Yorker has the story about how South Carolina's rogue Senator, Lindsey Graham, conspired to impose staggering new taxes on the American people through cap-and-trade legislation and cripple the US economy. And National Journal reports that Graham only abandoned his quest when he could not interest a single Republican Senator in his socialist plot, not even his mentor, John McCain.
I do find remarkable how people who claim to be Christians don't mind breaking the 9th Commandment when it comes to Lindsey. You do realize breaking one of the "Big Ten" is a major sin. You are outright lying about Lindsey's stand on cap/trade. Lindsey was trying to stop the EPA from establishing cap/trade taxes. The only way it can be stopped is via the US Senate. Guess you missed that part when you lied about him.
ReplyDeleteLindsey has an excellent interview up on his Senate site explaining what he was doing. He also did a segment on Michael Medved's show somewhere along the 10th or 11h of November, 2009 explaining what he wanted to do.
But, those lies are a beautiful thing. Tell them long enough and people begin to believe 'em. Shame on you!

Thanks for your comments, Pink. Amazing how two publications as different as The New Yorker and National Journal could both be wrong about Graham's support for cap-and-trade. Perhaps you could tell us how SC's senior senator is spinning these comments, calling for the nationalization of the banks: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YFyEBr7kuLs
