Marie Freeman Photos Back by Popular Demand

When we moved to this new Blogger template, one of the problems we faced was how to incorporate the photo, from Marie Freeman's exceptionally beautiful Blue Ridge Blog, that had been our masthead almost from the start of this blog in 2007 . Those photos have always been a very popular feature, and when we didn't feature them anymore, we heard from some unhappy readers.

Thanks to our good friends at Pray the Mass, we learned how to use Picassa and resize photos to make them fit the new template. Like any good conservative, we are delighted to incorporate the best of the old, with the new.

I can take no credit. They are all the work of Marie Freeman, an extremely gifted photo-blogger from Valle Crucis, North Carolina, who very graciously allowed me to feature them. Marie's exceptional talent and her superb Blue Ridge Blog were recently profiled in the Winston-Salem Journal. If you haven't visited the Blue Ridge Blog, do yourself a favor; it is a delight. Like me, you will probably want to move to the mountains of north-western North Carolina.
