Mexico Begins to Crawl; Wall Funding to Follow

Our strong and right-thinking next President is already beginning to command a new-found respect from other nations.  The Mexicans have begun crawling under the realities of the coming new relationship.  Wall funding will not be far off.

Exclusive: President Fox Apologizes, Invites Trump to Mexico

SANTA MONICA, California — During an exclusive interview with Breitbart News, former Mexican President Vicente Fox apologized Wednesday for the vulgar language he has used regarding GOP frontrunner Donald Trump’s proposal to build a wall along the southern border and invited the likely Republican nominee to Mexico to see the border from the other side.

Earlier this year, Foxsaid that he would not pay for Trump’s “f*cking wall,” and called Trump “Ignorant … crazy … egocentric … nasty … [a] false prophet.” Trump then called on Fox to apologize.

On Wednesday, he did so — in an exclusive interview with Breitbart News — and added that he wanted Trump to come to Mexico to see the border from the other side.

“I apologize. Forgiveness is one of the greatest qualities that human beings have, is the quality of a compassionate leader. You have to be humble. You have to be compassionate. You have to love thy neighbor,” Fox explained to Breitbart News while sitting in the hotel of the J.W. Marriott in Santa Monica, California on Wednesday afternoon.

Say Goodbye to Los Angeles

By Patrick J. Buchanan

Centuries before William James coined the phrase, men have sought a “moral equivalent of war,” some human endeavor to satisfy the jingoistic lust of man, without the carnage of war.

For some, the modern Olympic Games have served the purpose, with the Cold War rivalry for medals between the United States and the Soviet Union, and, lately, between America and China.

But the Olympic Games, most of which involve individual athletes competing against each other, have never aroused the passions of soccer, where teams serve as surrogates for the tribe or nation.

Mexican Military Copter Over U.S. Neighborhood

From San Antonio Express-News
By Lynn Brezosky and Gary Martin

The Zapata County sheriff Thursday was questioning why a Mexican military helicopter was hovering over homes on the Texas side of the Rio Grande.

It was one of the more jarring incidents of the fourth week of border tensions sparked by drug killings, and rumors of such killings, in the Mexican state of Tamaulipas.

Sheriff Sigifredo Gonzalez said he'd reviewed photos of the chopper flown by armed personnel Tuesday over a residential area known as Falcon Heights-Falcon Village near the binational Falcon Lake, just south of the Starr-Zapata county line. He said the helicopter appeared to have the insignia of the Mexican navy.

“It's always been said that the Mexican military does in fact ... that there have been incursions,” Gonzalez said. “But this is not New Mexico or Arizona. Here we've got a river; there's a boundary line. And then of course having Falcon Lake, Falcon Dam, it's a lot wider. It's not just a trickle of a river, it's an actual dam. You know where the boundary's at.”

Send California Inmates to Mexico, says Schwarzenegger

What an ingenious idea! Send 20,000 illegal alien criminals -- currently housed, clothed and fed by the taxpayers of California -- back to their own country, ease prison crowding, and save a billion dollars to boot! It's amazing what bankruptcy can do to clear a liberal's head.

Nationwide, there are about 111,000 illegal aliens in state and local lockups, and another 50,000 criminal aliens in federal prisons. May we suggest that federal and state governments, including South Carolina -- and yes, we have them here too -- begin the house cleaning.

From Yahoo! News

Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger suggested California could ease its crowded prison system by sending thousands of undocumented inmates to specially built jails in Mexico.

Speaking to reporters at the Sacramento Press Club, Schwarzenegger said California could ease its strained finances by a billion dollars if 20,000 illegal immigrants currently held in the state were housed across the border.

"I think that we can do so much better in the prison system alone if we can go and take, inmates for instance, the 20,000 inmates that are illegal immigrants that are here and get them to Mexico," Schwarzenegger said.

Mexico: In Drug-Cartel Epicenter, Priest Continues Ministry

The Washington Post has published an article that focuses on one priest’s ministry in the Mexican state of Michoacan, “where all forms of traditional authority-- city hall, the military, police and even the Catholic Church-- have been unable to protect the people against the assassinations, kidnappings and extortions associated with the narcotics trade.”

The article begins:

Father Miguel López drives the parish pickup truck across the muddy river that separates two warring drug cartels. He follows the winding road through the dark green foothills of the Sierra Madre until he comes to a rusting archway where traffickers hung the severed head of his friend.

The Roman Catholic priest spends his days navigating this dangerous terrain, a world he describes as “fallen.” He prays with widows whose husbands disappeared in broad daylight, and gives Communion to the men who may have killed them. In the village where he grew up, at the end of this lonely road, his lifelong neighbors were too afraid to unbolt their doors when they heard screams for help in the middle of the night -- when an entire family, including four children, was kidnapped in June amid a clash between rival gangsters.

“The fear is one that we all share,” López said, steering his gray truck through hills that conceal a vast network of marijuana farms and methamphetamine labs. “Sometimes I can't sleep at night. But these are the times when you have to define who you are. To do anything less is to be an accomplice.”

Time to Call It Treason

Many Americans are bewildered by President Bush’s refusal to secure America’s borders, enforce our laws regarding illegal entry and employment, and his willingness to provide lawbreakers blanket amnesty. However, they can find an explanation in a document that Human Events has called “a bureaucratic coup d’etat,” and CNN’s Lou Dobbs has termed “treason.”

Entitled the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP), the agreement is the mechanism by which the Prime Minister of Canada, and the Presidents of Mexico and the United States are dissolving national sovereignty to create a new entity called the North American Union. The document has never been submitted to Congress.

Operating “below the radar,” this ambitious plan enjoys the support of multi-national business elites. It is being implemented through working groups and regulations promulgated by the Secretaries of State, Commerce and Homeland Security. Even the U. S. Department of Education is playing a role in the President’s globalist agenda.

At a summit meeting in Waco, Texas in 2005, President Bush, President Fox and Prime Minister Martin jointly called for

the creation by 2010 of a North American Community to enhance security, prosperity, and opportunity. We propose a community based on the principle affirmed in the March 2005 Joint Statement of the three leaders that ‘our security and prosperity are mutually dependent and complimentary.’ Its boundaries will be defined by a common external tariff and an outer security perimeter within which the movement of people, products, and capital will be legal, orderly and safe.

A Mexican government website has described the process as “a permanent, tri-lateral process to create a major integration of North America.”

Its model, obviously, is that of the European Union which started life as merely a Common Market, but now has a parliament, a judiciary, a common currency and a massive bureaucracy that oversees every aspect of European life. It is even preparing for a European President and Foreign Minister.

Given its massive incursion into the running of schools in the United States, one would think that the U. S. Department of Education would not have time to assist with plans to abrogate the Constitution and national sovereignty, but even they are facilitating the North American Union. The Department is offering discretionary grants under a program called North American Mobility in Higher Education. According to the Department’s website, funded projects are intended to:

  • Encourage cooperation and exchange among higher education institutions in the United States, Mexico, and Canada;
  • Increase the knowledge of the languages, cultures, and institutions of these three countries;
  • Increase the quality of human resources development in the three countries;
  • Explore ways to prepare students to work throughout North America; and
  • Augment student mobility, through mutual recognition and portability of credits and by developing joint curricula and degrees.

Perhaps no American has sounded the alarm more clearly as to what is afoot than the indefatigable Phyllis Schlafly, and her Eagle Forum has dedicated a website to the North American Union. Some Canadians have also begun to recognize what is at stake. Vive le Canada, a liberal Canadian advocacy organization states:

This plan goes by various names and euphemisms, such as "deep integration", "NAFTA-plus", "harmonization", the "Big Idea", the "Grand Bargain", and the "North American Security and Prosperity Initiative". Regardless of which name you prefer, the end goal of all of these plans is to create a new political and economic entity that would supercede the existing countries.

This summer the American people spoke clearly and thunderously that they want our borders secured, our laws enforced, and our national sovereignty, culture and institutions protected. Yet our President, with historically low poll numbers, has come to believe he is free from the restraints of public opinion because he has nothing left to lose. He persists in a plan to subvert what our founding fathers crafted in Philadelphia and what patriots have secured with blood down to the present day. It is time to call this process by its proper name – treason. It is also time for the Congress to end it.
