Joe the Plumber Goes Off on McCain, Says He 'Screwed Up My Life'

We agree with Joe; John McCain is the worst candidate ever nominated by the Republican Party. We're looking forward to former Congressman J. D. Hayworth and Republican primary voters retiring this RINO embarrassment.

Joe the Plumber is no longer a fan of either Sarah Palin or John McCain, it seems.

Joe, also known as Sam Wurzelbacher, told an audience in Pennsylvania this week that McCain "is no public servant.""McCain was trying to use me," Wurzelbacher said, according to public radio correspondent Scott Detrow. "I happened to be the face of middle Americans. It was a ploy.”

"I don’t owe him s—," Wurzelbacher continued. "He really screwed my life up, is how I look at it.”

In fact, Wurzelbacher's dislike for McCain is so strong that he no longer supports Sarah Palin simply because Palin will campaign for McCain's re-election.

As for Obama: "I think his ideology is un-American, but he’s one of the more honest politicians. At least he told us what he wanted to do."

America's Cup Returns to US After 15 Year Absence

Larry Ellison's space-age trimaran BMW Oracle won back the America's Cup for the United States by speeding across the Mediterranean and routing two-time defending champion Alinghi of Switzerland in a two-race sweep.

The 65-year-old software tycoon was onboard his incredibly fast craft this morning (NZT), after sitting out Race 1 due to a weight limit. His victory over rival Ernesto Bertarelli sends the oldest trophy in international sports to San Francisco's Golden Gate Yacht Club.

Connor Campaign Releases First Television Ad

Connor first candidate up on television, only statewide candidate on Daytona 500

The Bill Connor campaign today released the first television ad of the 2010 Primary cycle by any Lt. Governor candidate. The ad debuted during today’s FOX pre-race telecast of the Daytona 500 in the Greenville market, and will air later in the day in the Charleston and Columbia markets. This is the only political ad running during the NASCAR broadcast, and is also the first television ad by any Republican statewide candidate not running for Governor.

“I knew that as the outsider in this race, I would need to get out early and be the first to announce my candidacy,” Connor said. “We were the first to announce, the first to post a website, the first to air radio advertisements, and now the first up on television. I am also proud to be the first returning post-9/11 war veteran to run for statewide office in South Carolina.”

The ad, titled “Family Business,” highlights Connor’s lineage as a 4th generation Army officer, and hints at the fact that he is the first post-9/11 combat veteran to announce for South Carolina statewide office.

It also notes Connor’s wartime service record in Afghanistan with the 218th Infantry Brigade, where he received a Bronze Star as Senior US Advisor to Afghan forces in Helmand Province and Senior US Liaison to British Forces there.

What is Planned Parenthood Really Doing in Haiti?

International Planned Parenthood has focused on the earthquake in Haiti to raise funds -- but for what purpose?

From OneNewsNow
By Charlie Butts

While aid workers continue the hard work of meeting the basic needs of Haitians, International Planned Parenthood and other pro-abortion groups are making their presence known. Paul Tuns is editor of The Interim, which bills itself as "Canada's Life and Family Newspaper."

"When you dig around and look at [their] website and look at the medical services that they are providing, the priorities that they give are to -- quote -- "low-cost, quality sexual and reproductive healthcare," he states.

The pro-life journalist says while Planned Parenthood does not further define on its website and in its literature what that entails, "we know from experience [that it] includes contraceptives, birth control and condoms -- and often, but not always, abortion."

Haiti earthquake big (Associated Press)According to Tuns, there has been a call from pro-abortion sources -- mostly in Florida -- to increase abortion facilities at this time of need. But what Haitian women really need, he explains, is food, water, and shelter, as well as prenatal care, quality delivery services, and post-natal care. He cautions people about the groups they give money to for aid and relief.

"Groups such as UNICEF, Doctors Without Borders, and the International Committee of the Red Cross are all clearly involved with either doing abortions, promoting sterilization, or working with groups that do abortions," he shares.

Tuns says Samaritan's Purse and Southern Baptist Disaster Relief are just two of the Christian-based relief organizations that merit pro-life support.
