J. D. Hayworth - A Conservative Senator for Arizona

Had the name of Vidkun Quisling, the Norwegian politician who betrayed his country and collaborated with the Nazis, not already come to describe those who undermine and destroy from within, the name McCain would be more than apt. John McCain has betrayed his party, its platform, and its principles by lending his name as a principle co-sponsor for some of the worst, big government, anti-freedom legislation proposed by the Senate's leading liberals.

The year ahead will see many victories for the rising tide of patriots fed up with totalitarian elitists who regard "we the people" as a smelly, ignorant mob needing to be disarmed before the status quo is threatened. But the sweetest victory for all those who believe in limited government, individual freedom, low taxes, and a strong national defense will be J. D. Hayworth's victory over "the two John McCain's" -- the McCain who campaigns in Arizona as a conservative, and the McCain who legislates in Washington as a liberal.

J. D. Hayworth's website is here, and the following is his announcement yesterday:

French Catholics Force Homosexualist "Kiss-In" Away from Notre Dame

"Paris n’est pas une boîte de nuit !"

From LifeSiteNews
By James Tillman

French homosexualist demonstrators
had planned to have a "kiss in" in front of Notre Dame cathedral in Paris this Valentine's day. But in response to the protests of a group of young French Catholics and patriots, it was moved away from the church of Our Lady.

The kiss-in was ostensibly meant to combat “homophobia.” The organizer of the kiss-in, Arthur Vauthier, had nevertheless said that it was a "way to challenge the Church, to question the Church on the question of love and marriage between gays and between lesbians." He had furthermore boasted that he was "not afraid of a backlash."

A number of Catholic and nationalist websites and blogs called on Catholics to "respond with courtesy and firmness to the provocation." French Action called on people to help resist the demonstration, stating that "France is not a nightclub."

The police then advised the demonstration's organizers to change its location because of a possible clash between the homosexualists and the Catholics. The event was moved to Saint-Michel, nearby.

Some homosexualist demonstrators, however, decided to go ahead with their plan anyway.

But a group of roughly 200 young Catholics had gathered by the time the homosexualists decided to start kissing each other in front of Notre Dame. The group of Catholics started shouting at the demonstrators at which point the police stepped in between the two groups and moved the gay activists away from the church. The following video shows young Catholics, after moving the demonstrators away from Notre Dame, chanting "Habemus Papam!" – or “We have a pope.”

He ranks second in influence only to Mullah Muhammad Omar , the Taliban’s founder, and was a close associate of Osama bin Laden before the Sept. 11 attacks.

CIA Admits It Salvaged Sunken Soviet Sub

The Hughes Glomar Explorer
(U.S. Government photo)

A very interesting story from The Daily Telegraph about a time when Presidents seized national security intelligence opportunities.

The American government has finally revealed details of a secret mission to raise a sunken Soviet submarine.

The admission ends more than 30 years of silence over one of the most elaborate and expensive projects of the Cold War.

The CIA has always refused to confirm even the barest details of Project Azorian, a daring 1974 exercise that was backed by the industrialist Howard Hughes and estimated to have cost £1 billion in today's money.

However, following an application to declassify the information under the US Freedom of Information Act, the CIA has released an internal account of the mission, albeit with some of the biggest mysteries still unanswered.
